Idias Corporation conducted training sessions for Legal Aid Bureau officers on how they can migrate old case data into the organization’s case management system
With an electronic case management system in place, the Legal Aid Bureau had been facing challenges resulting from the fact that some historical case date was still paper-based and outside the system. The result was that the organization had been subjected to a number of challenges including distorted statistics, manual preparation of reports/statistics for cases handled outside the system which is error prone, difficulties in accessing manual case files, increased backlog of cases, loss and damage of case files
Having previously developed CasePlus, the case management system for Legal Aid Bureau, Idias Corporation will seamlessly migrate the old files into the system while at the same time ensuring that all the linkages between the migrated data and its corresponding supporting documents is maintained. Through the data migration exercise, all Legal Aid Bureau’s old paper-based case files dating to as far back as 1996 will be migrated into the system, thereby creating a rich database to simplify handling of cases, cross-referencing of cases and reporting
In 2021, Idias Corporation developed CasePlus, an electronic platform for capturing, handling, monitoring and tracking cases as well as generating various reports. Since then, CasePlus has helped Legal Aid Bureau and many legal firms to easily access information and retrieve case data, enable easy follow up and monitoring of cases, reduce backlog and improve decision making and reporting
