Idias Corporation recently participated in a workshop aimed at gathering requirements for integrating the Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) Management Information System (MIS), a project funded by the Southern African Trade and Connectivity Project (SATCP). Officially opened by the MBS Director General Prof Bernard Thole, the main objective of the workshop was to establish a clear understanding of the requirements and documentation necessary for successful system integration between the MBS MIS and various stakeholders’ systems.
The proposed system will serve as a centralized platform for managing a wide range of MBS-related information, including product and service certifications, management systems certifications, standards development, and verification and calibration management, among others. The MIS will also integrate with external parties such the Malawi Revenue Authority and the Department of the Registrar General.
SATCP, funded by the World Bank, is supporting MBS in acquiring this modern and comprehensive MIS with the primary objective to boost private sector activity along targeted trade corridors in Malawi and Mozambique.
A fully Malawian-owned company, Idias Corporation brings extensive experience in enterprise software development, ensuring that the project will be delivered on time, within budget and according to specification.
